En el año 2013 Apila Ediciones creo el Premio Apila Primera Impresión para dar la posibilidad de editar su primer álbum profesional a ilustradores e ilustradoras sin ninguna obra publicada con ISBN (salvo autoediciones). Desde entonces hasta hoy los Premios Apila han servido para que la práctica mayoría de sus ganadores hayan dado el salto al mundo profesional de la ilustración.Estamos muy orgullosos por ello y nos anima a seguir por este camino en sucesivas ediciones.
In 2013, Apila Ediciones created the Apila Primera Impresión Award to give illustrators without any published work with an ISBN (excluding self-publishing) the opportunity to publish their first professional picture book. From then until today, the Apila Awards have helped the vast majority of its winners leap into the professional world of illustration. We are very proud of this, and it encourages us to continue on this path in future editions.
